About Us

Connect began on Tuesday January 21, 2003 as a group of young adults gathered at Bagelmeister here in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. They meet more three purposes. First, to read the Bible  together and learn from it. Second, to pray for and encourage each other. Third, to pray that God would do something with this group.  This group continued to meet each Tuesday night. As the group grew they looked for direction. On May 14, 2003 Tim Hoeksema became the groups leader.  Over the years the group have grown in many ways.  We've taken trip to Ecuador to help plant churches.  We've served local churches and other organizations.  One of our most notable endeavors has been launching Connect Cafe.  On July 27, 2006 Connect cafe opened it's doors.  Our little cafe has been a great way to build relationship with people and help people who are seeking Jesus.  It's our desire to help people passionately pursue Jesus Christ.  But we don't do this is a forceful way.  We believe that we are called to love people and as we do that and pray, God will bring about change in people lives.  We just want to be available for people who have questions about Jesus.  Below you will find more information about who we are.  Also please checkout our values and beliefs.  If you have any questions please call us. 920-922-1622

Our Mission

The mission of Connect is to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and help others to do the same.

We draw our mission from two important statements of Jesus:

The Great Commandment — “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

  The Great Commission — “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

   Essentially, we are being called to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and to carry out the work that He began.

Our Target

Connect is targeted at college aged people, but open to all.

Our Measure of Effectiveness

We will not measure our success in terms of bodies, bucks, or buildings that we accumulate. Rather, we will measure our success by the impact we have on people’s lives (and, in turn, the impact they have on the lives of others). Our desire is to be contagious in our enthusiasm for our intimate friendship with God, and to be living demonstrations of how his love changes lives.

 Ultimately, we can fulfill our purpose only by relying upon the leadership and power of God in all that we do. We are his people, seeking to accomplish his desires, so that he will receive all the glory.
